British singer Adele continued her victory march, sweeping to two awards at the 2012 BRITs in London on Tuesday.

She picked up the award for Best British Female Solo Artist and her album "21" won the MasterCard British Album of the Year award. The album has spent 21 weeks on top of the Billboard 200 Chart.

The singer, who performed at the 2012 Grammys and in public for the first time after her surgery, gave a resounding rendition of "Rolling In the Deep" at the event.

Incidentally, Adele's six Grammys, creating a record for the most Grammy awards by a female artist in one night...tying with other artists like Beyonce, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse and others.

She won awards in all six categories, including Record of the Year ("Rolling in the Deep"), Album of the Year ("21"), Song of the Year ("Rolling in the Deep"), Best Pop Solo Performance ("Someone Like You"), Best Pop Vocal Album ("21") and Best Short Form Music Video ("Rolling in the Deep").

Earlier, the 23-year-old artist debut's album "19", which she released in 2008, won her two awards, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 51<sup>st Grammy awards ceremony in 2009.

Adele reportedly announced a five year break from the music industry, to focus on her relationship and her next album, in an interview to US Vogue magazine.

She later dismissed those reports and wrote on her blog saying: "I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!"

She is currently dating Simon Konecki. Adele, who stays with her mother, has rented a sprawling £7million mansion in West Sussex.
