The Burning Man festival has come to its traditional fiery end. Revellers watched as the wooden sculpture that dominates the site – and gives the festival its name – went up in flames on Saturday night (5 September). The following night saw the burning of the Temple of Promise, a structure containing festivalgoers' handwritten messages and wishes. Reuters photographer Jim Urquhart was one of the nearly 70,000 people who spent the week in the desert, living in an enormous semi-circular encampment known as Black Rock City.
