Everton vs Manchester City

Ok here we go for the semi-final draw. Andy Hinchcliff will conduct the draw alongside Scott Minto. Here are the numbers

1. Everton

2. Manchester City

3. Stoke City

4. Liverpool

Ronald Koeman has identified some real defensive deficiencies in his team tonight which have contributed to Liverpool putting six past Southampton. We are less than five minutes away from the draw as things stand so hold onto your hats.

The timing of the draw is in the hands of broadcasters Sky Sports, who are currently reviewing the 90 minutes and each of Liverpool's six goals. Wonderful showing again on the road from them, and who will fancy them in the last four? Stoke City beat them 6-1 last season but were defeated earlier in the second while Manchester City were also beaten 4-1 last month. Local rivals Everton are the only other side in the sort of form who could challenge Klopp's men.

Before we have the draw, what about that performance from Liverpool. They have swept aside Southampton with a stunning performance which including the comeback of Daniel Sturridge and a hat-trick for Divock Origi. Southampton were cannon fodder for long periods and they will be glad they restricted the damage to six.

And then there were four. Everton, Manchester City, Stoke City and now Liverpool make up the semi-final line-up of the Capital One Cup. A two-legged play-off separate each of the teams from a trip to Wembley to contest the first showcase final of the season. But who will face who in the last four? Liverpool have become the latest side to reach the penultimate phase of the competition and there are plenty of intriguing games in prospect, not least a potential Merseyside derby. The draw is on the way.
