Caroline Flack admits to sobbing on Love Island ITV2

Love Island producers were forced to retake scenes due to presenter Caroline Flack sobbing her way through recouplings.

Though the 37-year-old makes rare appearances in the luxury Spanish villa – usually to tell an Islander they've been dumped – she is just as obsessed by the show as most of the nation and sometimes can't hide her emotions.

Flack told The Sun: "I find it so hard to mask my feelings when I'm there. I cried filming an episode recently. I ruin a ton of shots because they can't show me sobbing. Everyone would be like: 'Why is the presenter crying her heart out?'

"And the thing is I then watch it back on TV a day later and cry again. Why am I crying? I was there!" she added.

Flack also cares about the Islanders personally – and we saw whose side she was on when grilling Jonny Mitchell over ditching Camilla Thurlow on ITV2's Aftersun last night.

The Enfield-born presenter admitted to speaking with Camilla after the upset: "When I saw Camilla after her heartbreak I had to talk to her and see if she was all right.

"That's a girl thing – we've all had our hearts broken and then had to be around an ex. It strikes a chord – you watch what she went through and go 'ugh, there's that feeling again'," she added.

Flack – who was once romantically linked to One Direction's Harry Styles – began her career in 2002 when she starred in Bo' Selecta! But has gone on to present various ITV spin-off shows such as I'm A Celebrity...Get me Out of Here! NOW! and The Xtra Factor.

After winning the twelfth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 she began presenting main shows such as Love Island and The X Factor.

Love Island continues tonight (17 July) at 9pm on ITV2.
