Beyonce and Jay Z can certainly afford to pay those Bills, Bills, Bills as the couple are now worth a reported $1bn (£770m). Thanks to the success of her Formation World Tour in 2016, Beyonce appears on Forbes' list of America's wealthiest self-made women.

In support of Beyonce's Lemonade album, the Formation stadium tour grossed more than $256m in ticket sales and merchandise across 49 dates which spanned Europe and the US. According to Forbes, Beyonce, 35, now boasts a net worth of $350m placing her at number 49 on the wealth list.

The Sorry singer's husband Jay Z, real name Shawn Carter, is said to have his personal wealth estimated at an eye-watering $810m after years of touring and, more recently, a string of successful business ventures. Earlier in May, the Big Pimpin' rapper was announced as hip-hop's first billionaire after securing a $200m deal with touring company Live Nation.

Confirming the news, Jay Z, 47, said in a statement: "This renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next ten years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape." The partnership will see Live Nation produce any of Jay Z's forthcoming tours meaning the legendary rapper will be performing live until at least the age of 57.

The Grammy-winning rapper now ranks at number two on Forbes' 2017 list of hip-hop's wealthiest rappers, sitting only behind P Diddy. It was previously thought that Dr Dre was the genre's first billionaire but it later emerged that while his Beats company was sold for $3bn, the profits were distributed amongst shareholders and into tax payments.

Jay Z can also credit his staggering fortune to his purchase of music streaming service Tidal in 2015 for a cool $56m. In January 2017, it was reported that company Sprint invested $200m for a 33% share in the service leaving Tidal with a healthy value of $600m and Jay Z smiling all the way to the bank. The Magna Carta hitmaker's other business ventures include management companies Roc Nation, Roc Nation Sports and champagne brand Armand de Brignac.
