The latest Earth-shattering collection of luminaries due to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this year has been announced. Alongside the usual clutch of jobbing soap actors and reality TV show personalities, the audience will also be treated to an appearance from the ex-girlfriend of a former England football team manager and a friend of Kim Kardashian.

Sixteen "celebrities" of varying degrees of fame will enter the house, including Gemma Collins from The Only Way Is Essex and Strictly Come Dancing's Kristina Rihanoff. Other reality stars include Tiffany Pollard, Geordie Shore's Scotty T, Ex On The Beach's Megan McKenna and former X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney.

John Partridge, who played Christian Clark on EastEnders, and Danniella Westbrook, who played Samantha Mitchell, are both involved, as is ex-Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis.

Darren Day and David Gest, themselves no strangers to celebrity reality TV, will also appear. We'll also enjoy the presence on our screens of Nancy Dell'Olio – who not only appeared on Strictly, but who also dated Sven Goran Eriksson for a period in the 2000s – and former Ukip politician Winston McKenzie, now a candidate for London mayor with the English Democrats.

David Bowie's ex-wife Angie Bowie and one-time Mr Ireland Jeremy McConnell round off the gang, who will face "unwelcome surprises" during their time in the house.

Westbrook was reported by the Daily Star to be receiving £200,000 to appear on CBB. Friends, the paper adds, say she "won't hesitate to strip off" in order to win.

Rylan Clark and Emma Willis will return once again to host the show, which will be broadcast on Channel 5 from 9pm on Tuesday.
