Jennifer Garner has opened up about her relationship with Ben Affleck amid rumours of reconciliation between the former couple. The Nine Lives actress has said that they are a "modern family" for the sake of their children: Violet Affleck, 10, Seraphina Affleck, 7, and Samuel Affleck, 4.

"We are definitely a modern family. We're doing really well," the 44-year-old actress said during an interview with NBC's Today.

There were rumours about the Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice star and Garner trying to work this out after they were spotted vacationing with their children in Europe in June.

"Ben was working in London on Justice League and I felt like, 'Well, the kids should have that experience," the actress said.

"He and I are great friends and we just all went en masse. The kids and I had an amazing time, and he worked hard and got to join us for some. I want them to see everything's OK."

However, a source previously told E! News, "There are no plans for a second honeymoon anywhere. They are 100 percent still separated and focused on co-parenting for the kids' sake."

"It is a fabricated story. They are not honeymooning, but they are just continuing along," another source was quoted as saying by the news website.

In February 2015, Garner told Vanity Fair: "I didn't marry the big fat movie star; I married him." "And I would go back and remake that decision. He's the love of my life. What am I going to do about that?"

The duo got married in 2005 after meeting on the sets of Daredevil but separated in June 2015.
