Toni Kroos' agent Volker Struth has denied the German World Cup winner has agreed to join Real Madrird, giving hope to Chelsea regarding their pursuit of the Bayern Munich midfielder

After playing a role in Germany's 1-0 World Cup final win over Argentina at the Maracana on Sunday, Kroos hinted that a move to the Spanish capital was close this summer.

"Now that I'm champion I will talk about my future in the coming days. If you believe that (I have signed for Real Madrid) maybe you already know more than me."

Spanish reports have claimed for the last few weeks that the Champions League winners have beaten Chelsea in the race for Kroos after agreeing terms with both Bayern and the player himself.

Marca say Los Blancos will indeed pay £20m plus add-ons to Bayern while the 24-year-old will sign a five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu for €6m (£4.7m) per season – an increase of at least €1m (£800,000) on the midfielder's current salary at the Bundesliga champions.

The midfielder himself hinted the is set to move to Real on Sunday, admitting he will decide his future before the end of the week.

However, his agent Struth claims that Kroos doesn't know yet where he will play next season.

"I can promise that we haven't made any decision yet about Kroos' future," he was quoted by Marca.

Nevertheless, the agent admits before the end of the week they will reveals his future – with reports in Germany claiming that Real are ready to make his move official on Thursday.

"We will sit down together and make a decision which we will annonce on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning."

The 24-year-old has only one-year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and having rejected a new deal at Bayern he has been linked in recent months with moves to Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester United.
