Chelsea target Antoine Griezmann is reportedly pondering a summer move to Stamford Bridge just one season after joining Atletico Madrid.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the French international is weighing up his options and is keen to find out the extent of Chelsea's interest before making a decision on his future.

Griezmann, who joined Atletico from Real Sociedad just last summer, has been linked with a move to the west London club earlier in the season and it is believed that the newly crowned Premier League champions can land him if they match his £43m release clause.

The reigning La Liga champions are aware of this and are currently in the process of offering the forward, who has been impressive in his debut season with the club, a new contract in order to increase the release-clause and ward off interested clubs.

But the 24-year-old is not showing any inclination to commit his future to the Spanish side and the report claims that the versatile forward, who can play anywhere across the front three positions is considering a move to Stamford Bridge.

Griezmann has scored 22 goals in 34 league games this season and this has attracted the attention of Jose Mourinho, who has already hinted that he is looking to add to his forward line in the summer transfer window.

Diego Simeone is adamant that Griezmann not be sold after just one season and the Spanish club will be reluctant to let another one of their big stars leave for Stamford Bridge, after the Portuguese manager signed Diego Costa and Felipe Luis from the La Liga champions.

However, they will be powerless to stop the French attacker, if he makes his intentions to leave known and Chelsea match the player's release clause.
