Overview

Three teams are still in contention to qualify into the knockout stages as Schalke 04 host Basel in the other game of group E in Germany. Chelsea need to avoid a defeat to finish as group winners and hope Basel manage to gain a point at Veltins-Arena.

The Blues suffered shock defeats in the league against Stoke City last weekend and against FC Basel on matchday five of the UEFA Champions League. Manager Jose Mourinho will expect his players to accomplish the task and qualify for the knockout stages on a high when they play host to the Steaua Bucharest on matchday six.

Mourinho will hope the Europa League winners will achieve a favourable result to avoid being drawn against other European giants (Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona) who finished first in their respective groups. Chelsea have scraped out results in the league and are third, five points from the top of the table.

Steaua, on the other hand, have nothing to lose and will finish bottom of the group even if they stun the London side. The Romanian champions are without a win in 22 matches in the UEFA Champions League and have drawn their last four league games in the Romanian Liga I. Manager Laurentiu Reghecampf will be pleased if his side manage to steal a point, especially after a 4-0 drubbing in the corresponding fixture on matchday two.

Jose Mourinho: "We have to win, not just to finish first but to have the good feeling to win at home and finish with 12 points. If you told me now that tomorrow we finish first with one point because of the other result I don't want it. I want to have the feeling of winning the game tomorrow. Difficult, but I think we can. We are creating a lot, we are playing very nice football - but we have to kill opponents. We have to score goals."

Laurentiu Reghecampf: "We expect a difficult game, it's the last of this group phase but I know we have no pressure on us - I just hope our players make a good game of it. We know it will be very difficult because Chelsea want to finish top of the group and they know they have to win to do that. But I just hope we give them a good game. First we want to play a good game here and not repeat the mistakes we made in the first leg. I think for all of us, my team and Romanian football, it is very important to have a positive game and a positive result."
