Overview

Chelsea enter into this fixture after their narrow 1-0 defeat of their rivals Queens Park Rangers in the last league fixture. An error from the Hoops' goalkeeper Robert Green allowed Eden Hazard to slide the ball for Cesc Fabregas, before the Spaniard put the ball behind the net.

The clash between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw as it was Didier Drogba, who gave the Blues a lead in the second half. However, Robin van Persie's late strike helped the Red Devils avoid a defeat at the hands of the league leaders.

United come into this fixture after a 4-2 victory over their derby rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford. A collective team effort helped Louis van Gaal's side put on a brilliant show against the Premier League champions.

The Old Trafford club are on a six-match winning streak and the Dutchman will be hoping to extend his record when United face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

What Managers Say

Jose Mourinho: "Man United's squad is amazing in terms of numbers, solutions and experience. I love my team, I love my squad and I love the objective we are fighting for. The safest option is to win 11 points, which we cannot do in two games but we can do in seven. We will change nothing."

Louis van Gaal: "Of course [we'll be confident]. It's not only one line-up that can play our philosophy so we have a lot of confidence now. The challenge is bigger than big. It will be very difficult."
