Chelsea qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League as group winners.

Full time: Olympiakos 0-3 Arsenal

Arsenal qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

Gary Neville's night has taken a turn for the worse. He looks to be heading to defeat in his first game in charge with Lyon now 2-0 ahead thanks to a goal from Alexandre Lacazette. That result could see Gent become the shock inclusion in the last 16, the Belgian side ead 2-1 against Zenit St Petersburg, who had previously won all of their games in the group stage.

Arsenal are really cruising here now. Olympiakos have made a handful of changes but none of them have caused the away side any problems and they look a threat each time they come forward on the break.

Barcelona meanwhile are still being held by Bayer Leverkusen, while Roma still haven't found a way through BATE Borisov.

Goal! Dinamo Zagreb 0-2 Bayern Munich (Robert Lewandowski)

On the list of teams who have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League you may begin to inscribe the name of Chelsea after Willian doubles the lead with an emphatic finish. The Blues have produced their best performance of the season at the crucial time to give their season the shot in the arm it required. Their manager Jose Mourinho has been as active on the touchline as in any game this season; a display which shows he has lost none of his fight.

Giroud seals his hat-trick! Simple penalty from the Frenchman. Olympiakos now need to score three in half an hour to deny the Gunners a spot in the last 16.

Goal! Olympiakos 0-3 Arsenal (Olivier Giroud)

Arsenal penalty! Monreal drills one across goal and it hits the outstretched arm of Elabdellaoui.

Penalty - Arsenal

Goal! Dinamo Zagreb 0-1 Bayern Munich (Goncalo Santos)

What a chance for Ideye! de Freita Couto Júnior curls an excellent ball in from the left into the path of the former West Brom striker, but the the ball gets caught underneath his feet, giving Koscielny the miliseconds he needs to hack the ball away.

Fortounis now gives Arsenal a scare, cutting inside across Ramsey and curling one for the top corner, but Cech is equal to it and palms it around the post.

Walcott misses a great chance to put Arsenal three up! Olympiakos fail to deal with a cross from Campell and the ball breaks kindly to the Gunners forward who lashes one on goal from the right, but misses the target.

Cue sighs of relief around Stamford Bridge. Willian, the only man to enhance his reputation in a blue shirt this evening, caps a neat move, smashing home a low effort after being teed up by Hazard.

Goal! Chelsea 2-0 Porto (Willian)

Giroud looks alright now! The Frenchman moves a clever ball into Campbell just inside the box and the Costa Rican shows brilliant footwork to shimmy inside his man and slot a return pass in for Giroud, who makes no mistake and slots home with a first time effort.

Goal! Olympiakos 0-2 Arsenal (Olivier Giroud)

Giroud, chasing down a loose ball, rolls horribly on his left ankle while clearing the ball. It looks painful but he should be okay to continue. He's off for the time being to receive some treatment.

Uh oh. Olivier Giroud has gone down and he looks in some serious pain.

And we are back underway for the second halves across Europe.

Half time scores:

Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal
Chelsea 1-0 Porto
Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Barcelona
Valencia 0-1 Lyon
Roma 0-0 BATE Borisov
Dinamo Zagreb 0-0 Bayern Munich
Dynamo Kiev 1-0 Maccabi Tel Aviv
Gent 1-0 Lyon

Thibaut Courtois attacked those questioning Chelsea's commitment this season before the game, but there can be no faulting the home side this evening after a bullish first half performance. Marcano's own goal might represent a wafer-thin advantage but the Blues have been intense with their pressing and have hunted down Porto in packs. A slice of what Chelsea produced in swathes last season in the opening 45 minutes. Porto have been kept at arms length and the longer Yacine Brahimi is kept with his back to goal the better the 2012 champions' hopes are of progressing.

Half time: Chelsea 1-0 Porto

Half time: Olympiakos 0-0 Arsenal

Giroud almost toes one through for Walcott but Roberto is quickly off his line to collect. Almost half time.

Gary Neville's big night isn't going to plan. He's already seen a goal for his Valencia side chalked off for offside, and it;s just got worse as Cornet cuts in from the right and curls a wonderful strike into the top corner.

Goal! Valencia 0-1 Lyon (Maxwell Cornet)

So nearly an own goal from Koscielny! Olympiakos swarm forward and Kasami is able to flick a great ball out to his right to find Pardo on the inside channel. He clips a ball across goal and Koscielny just about manages to lift it over his own goal. That was close, though.

Walcott suddenly how loads of space to gallop into as he cuts across from the left to a central position and lets fly with a shot, but it's fairly harmless in the end, rolling wide of Roberto's post.

Olympiakos have tried to work a couple of moves since Arsenal took the lead but nothing that has troubled the away side too much. If Arsenal score a second and Cech remains untroubled, then they will qualify.

Arsenal are ahead! They have been making more and more use of the wide areas in the last 10 minutes and it has paid off with Mesut Ozil clipping a wonderful cross in from the left into the six yard area. Giroud adjusts himself and nuts one towards the bottom corner which squirms past Roberto and into the back of the net.

Goal! Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal (Olivier Giroud)

Aaron Ramsey swings in a dangerous cross looking for the noggin of Olivier Giroud but Roberto bravely punches clear.

Moments after Lionel Messi gave Barcelona the lead, Leverkusen are level! And it's Javier Hernandez converting from inside the box to score his 12 goals in his last 11 games. Good thing Louis van Gaal got rid of him, eh....

Arsenal hit bar! Campbell does well down the right to burst down the inside flank and cuts a ball back to find, of all people, Mathieu Flamini. The Frenchman gets decent contact on the ball but the slightest deflection from da Costa lifts his effort onto the woodwork.

Goal! Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Barcelona (Javier Hernandez)

Barcelona are off and running in Germany. Ivan Rakitic has an age to pick out a wonderful pass to free Messi, who trots around goalkeeper Leno before rolling the ball into the back of the net.

Goal! Dynamo Kiev 1-0 Maccabi Tel Aviv (Garmash)

Goal! Bayer Leverkusen 0-1 Barcelona (Lionel Messi)

Goal! Gent 1-0 Zenit (Depoitre)

Another half chance for Olympiakos as the fall falls invitingly on the half volley for Pardo on the edge of the box but he fires over.

Nick Howson at Stamford Bridge

You could feel the relief all around Stamford Bridge as Bruno Martins Indi's own goal gave Chelsea an early lead against Porto. Hazard and Costa combined to deadly effect in the build-up as Porto were powerless to prevent going behind. The Portuguese club must come from behind to keep alive their Champions League hopes - assuming Dynamo beat Maccabi - but their former manager has struck the first blow.

Ramsey will be shown a yellow card for a mistimed challenge on Fortounis on the half way line.

Chelsea have the first goal of the night! Diego Costa works a yard of space but sees his shot on goal blocked by Casillas. It rebounds off Marcano and, despite Maicon's efforts to clear it off the line, rolls over to give Jose Mourinho's side the lead. As is stands, they will go through as group winners.

Goal! Chelsea 1-0 Porto (Macano OG)

Arsenal are carved open again! Bellerin cuts across to challenge de Freita Couto Júnior but the Olympiakos man shifts the ball inside to Ideye who drifts down the inside right channel. He cuts an inviting ball across the face of goal but there is no one on the end of it and Arsenal clear.

10 minutes in and we are goalless in our eight games across Europe.

Olympiakos work it short and the ball breaks loose in the box where Fortounis goes down following a coming together with Walcott. He wants the penalty, but instead is rightfully shown a yellow card for simulation.

Bellerin swings out a leg and catches Olympiakos' de Freita Couto Júnior, giving away a free kick on the edge of the box out to the right.

Meabwhile at Stamford Bridge, Diego Costa has done more running in these opening minutes than he has done while warming up as a substitute in recent weeks. Porto's Brahimi has had the first effort of the night, however, skipping inside past Azpilicueta before forcing a save out of Begovic.

Olympiakos have started very comfortably, stroking the ball around with ease and pressuring Arsenal at every occasion. Any time the Gunners are in possession boos rain down from the crowd, can they silence them?

Olympiakos nearly get off to the perfect start as they press Arsenal into a mistake with Ideye and Pardo combining nicely before the latter fires over. The offside had gone up, anyway.

And we are off and underway.

Team teams are out. The anthem has played. We are ready to go.

Nick Howson at Stamford Bridge

There are plenty of statistics which will reinvigorate even the most pessimistic Chelsea supporter ahead of tonight's game. The Blues have lost just one of their last 37 home group stage matches in the Champions League while FC Porto travel to England with a daunting record. The Portuguese giants have never won in England, losing 13 of their 15 visit to these shores and only twice against the Premier League champions in seven meetings home and away.

"The only thing seemingly more unerring than Roman Abramovich's steadfast support of Jose Mourinho has been the backing of the Stamford Bridge faithful. There were sporadic boos heard at full-time in the first sign of animosity towards recent results. How might they accentuate should results tonight go against the home team?

"A visibly emotional Mourinho labelled the atmosphere for the win over Dynamo Kiev as the best of either of his spells at the club but will the Chelsea following be as keen to herald their most successful-ever manager should they crash out of Europe's elite competition? It could be the vote of no confidence which triggers a swift departure.

15 minutes to kick off. Only three teams, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg have confirmed their qualification from the 16 teams in action this evening. Five more will join them, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Wolfsburg, PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid, Benfica, Manchester City and Juventus in the last 16.

Nick Howson at Stamford Bridge

It feels just like yesterday that Chelsea faced do or die in the Champions League against Dynamo Kiev, a call they responded too with a late win through Willian's splendid free-kick. Fast forward a month and the Blues' plight has barely improved either domestically or in Europe.

"Defeat to AFC Bournemouth was the club's eighth in the Premier League as their title defence continues to fail, while on the continent they lie on the precipice of a group stage exit. Failure to take even a point from their final group game against FC Porto will likely see the west Londoners join Manchester United in dropping through the Europa League trapdoor.

"Porto are not guaranteed of a place in the last 16 either and if the atmosphere being created by their support on the way into Stamford Bridge is any indicator, they are keen to see their side plunge a knife into the future of their former manager. Jose Mourinho insists he has the backing of Roman Abramovich, but that devotion could be truly tested tonight.

Arsenal start with Joel Campbell, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and and Olivier Giroud in attack this evening. Will it be enough for them so score the minimum of two goals they need to stand a chance of progressing?

Better late than never; Arsenal's confirmed team for tonight.

Olympiakos vs Arsenal and Porto vs Chelsea will be the focal point of our coverage tonight but we will have goal updates from tonight's six other matches across Europe this evening.

Wednesday's Champions League fixtures.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Barcelona
Roma vs BATE Borisov
Dinamo Zagreb vs Bayern Munich
Olympiakos vs Arsenal
Chelsea vs Porto
Dynamo Kiev vs Maccabi Tel-Aviv
Gent vs Zenit St Petersburg
Valencia vs Lyon

Here's the Olympiakos team looking to end Arsenal's Champions League hopes for good tonight.

BREAKING: Both Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud start for Arsenal tonight. Alex Iwobi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain offer more attacking options on the bench.

We're still waiting on team news from Arsenal. Given the number of players missing through injury at the minute, you'd think their team would pick itself...

Here's the Porto team to do battle with Chelsea tonight.

Just in case you are not familiar with the Twitter handles of those chaps, that team is:

Porto: Casillas, Maxi, Maicon, Marcano, Martins Indi, Layun, Danilo, Imbula, Herrera, Corona, Brahimi

Nick Howson at Stamford Bridge

If this is to be Jose Mourinho's final match in charge, he has made several big calls which could come back to haunt him. Out go Spanish duo Cesc Fabregas and Pedro, while Gary Cahill is also dropped from the defeat to Bournemouth.

"John Terry and Ramires are back from the injury wilderness, while Diego Costa starts for the first time since November.

There are eight fixtures in all tonight, including Gary Neville's debut as Valencia head coach. Here is is first starting XI in management.

So Jose Mourinho has opted to recall Diego Costa for tonight's showdown at Stamford Bridge. The Spain international has been benched for the club's last two games looking like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world but, with little other option on hand, his manager has handed him a reprieve.

BREAKING: John Terry returns to captain Chelsea this evening but Cesc Fabregas settles for a spot on the bench.

Chelsea team to face Porto: Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Ramires, Matic; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa

Subs: Begovic, Cahill, Mikel, Kenedy, Fabregas, Pedro and Remy

And monsieur Wenger.

Our midfield is important in games like this, so Ramsey and Flamini will be important and must play well. I am confident they will. "It is important that we focus on the performance and the goals will come.

"When the goal will come, I do not know. But when we play well we have a chance to score. We might need to be patient. We must go into the game with the desire to win, knowing that we have to get both parts of the game – attacking and defending – well.

Confirmed line ups are expected in the next five minutes. In the meantime, here is what the respective coaches have been saying in the build up to tonight's match. First, Jose Mourinho.

There are no ifs. Win, draw or lose, no ifs. I am an optimistic guy. There are no ifs. I think I have done a lot of good things in this club for the owner to know the quality I have.

"I know the wind of the results is strong because the results in the Premier League are really bad. "The owner knows who I am, what I give for the club and he believes that I am the right person to do the job. You can read these bad results and focus on the manager.

"You can look at the results and look to the players with performances below acceptable and you can look to the unlucky decisions that we are having in every competition. You can look in my direction and you can decide that it is not a one man responsibility.

Arsenal: The Gunners are without Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin for their biggest game of this season tonight. Arsene Wenger suggested in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday he will opt for the midfield partnership of Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini. With the exception of Calum Chambers filling in, there is no one else. Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck also remain absent.

Chelsea: Skipper John Terry is available again after recovering from the ankle problem suffered a fortnight ago against Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Ramires also suffered a knock in that match but is once again available for selection. Radamel Falcao returned to training this week, but is still unavailable.
