Chelsea take on Stoke City in the weekend Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on 5 March, Saturday.

Where to watch

Kick-off is at 3pm GMT. Catch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day on BBC One and BBC One HD at 10.20pm GMT.

Overview

Chelsea come into this fixture after registering a 2-1 victory over Norwich City in the last league fixture during the midweek. In the last five matches played in all competitions, the Blues have scored 15 goals, losing one game against Paris Saint-Germain in the process.

The worrying issue for Guus Hiddink is that his side have not managed to keep a clean sheet since Chelsea's 0-0 draw against Watford on 2 February. The west London club are unbeaten in the domestic competitions since the Dutchman took charge at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will be hoping Hiddink's unbeaten run continues when his side takes on Stoke City during the league tie on Saturday. Meanwhile, Stoke sealed a narrow 1-0 victory over Newcastle United during the last tie.

After a disappointing start to 2016, Mark Hughes saw his side bounce back with three consecutive wins in the last three fixtures. The Stoke boss will be hoping his side's recent form can extend when they face Chelsea.

What manager says

Guus Hiddink: "We made some changes in the previous games also, we played the youngsters and that is okay," he said. "Of course we have in mind the upcoming games on Wednesday and Saturday [an FA Cup quarter-final at Everton]. But — big but — we take all Premier League games seriously and we will have the same approach this weekend, too."

Mark Hughes: "They have a chance to salvage their season which is incredible really given the situation they were in not too long ago. For whatever reason they struggled early on but since the change in manager they have really kicked on. I don't know why that has happened because they had world-class players at the start of the campaign too. One of their lads has said that they will be looking to win every game now."
