Chelsea forward Isaiah Brown has admitted that he is not keen on leaving the Blues on loan next season.

The young attacker, who joined from West Bromwich Albion in 2013, has risen through the academy with some impressive performances, which have earned him a spot in Jose Mourinho's first-team.

The 18-year-old forward, who can also play as a winger, was one of the key players for the Chelsea reserves that won the FA Youth Cup and Uefa Youth League. This earned him 11 minutes on the pitch as a substitute during Chelsea's recent 3-0 loss against his former club on 19 May at the Hawthorns.

Chelsea have over 20 players currently on loan at various clubs around Europe and England, but the striker insists that he is keen to remain at Stamford Bridge and continue his development, while training with the first-team coaches and players.

Brown has revealed that any decision on his future plans will be made after pre-season, but has made it clear that his long-term future remains with the Blues.

"It is a hard balance, but if you're training with the best players in the world and learning from the best manager in the world, what more can you ask for?" Brown said, as quoted by Goal.

"That's maybe more development for me than going to play in the Championship."

"What happens next season all depends how pre-season goes. We will have a sit down and talk about it and see where my future is. But long-term, it is definitely at Chelsea," the former West Bromwich Albion youth team player added.

The young forward, who made his Chelsea debut against the Baggies on 19 May, was in for a hostile reception from the home crowd due to the manner of his departure from the club.

But the player has defended himself by claiming that he has always been a Chelsea fan, and that he could not turn down the chance to play for his boyhood club when the Premier League champions came calling.

"Some people don't understand, but ever since I was a kid I have been a Chelsea fan. I grew up watching Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Gianfranco Zola and I had videos of every season," he added.

"My dream was always to play for Chelsea so when the chance came, I couldn't say no. It had nothing to do with the money. I love Chelsea and I love playing for the club I supported," Brown concluded.
