Anna Faris has revealed that recent reports suggesting that husband Chris Pratt might be cheating on her have been "devastating" and have come as a huge surprise to the couple who describe their relationship as "incredible".

The false claims began to emerge last week, saying that the Jurassic World actor was possibly being unfaithful with co-star Jennifer Lawrence whilst shooting their upcoming movie Passengers, directed by The Imitation Game's Morten Tyldum. Rumours that have unexpectedly hurt the 38-year-old comedy actress, she admits.

Talking to US Weekly, Faris confessed: "This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging. I had always kind of believed that part of the rumours of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been part of my life. I was like: 'Oh, maybe there's a kernel of truth to that.'" The Mom actress continued to tell the publication: "It's been a little devastating because for us, it's like, 'What the heck?'"

Faris walked the red carpet alone on Monday 10 August in celebration of TCA Stars Party for CBS in Hollywood, as Pratt is currently filming Antoine Fuqua's The Magnificent Seven in Louisiana. The pair met back in 2007 when they started filming the movie Take Me Home Tonight and became engaged in late 2008. They married in Indonesia in 2009 and had their first child together, Jack, in 2012.

When the couple first got together, Faris was by far the bigger star, she had been a part of the Scary Movie franchise for several years and had also had recurring roles in television series Friends and Entourage. She had also played the lead role in The House Bunny in 2008. Pratt was lesser-known back then, having starred in smaller roles in titles such as The OC and Bride Wars. It wasn't until he landed the role of lovable Andy Dwyer in NBC's Parks And Recreation that he became a recognised name, but his performance in the show soon had him booking movie roles in successful films such as Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty and, later, Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy which propelled him into superstardom.

But even while being one of the hottest names in Hollywood right now, Pratt still remembers what it was like when he was trying to make it big. "I've had those moments where I was like the guy holding the purse at events and people just looked right through me," he recollected to GQ magazine back in May 2015. "And, you know, actors came up and just blatantly hit on my wife in front of me and don't even look at me."
