Guardians Of The Galaxy 2
Marvel released the first poster and teaser of Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 ahead of its may 2017 premiere Marvel Studios

Marvel has finally released the Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 trailer and its official poster on (Wednesday) 19 October. In the 90-second long sneak peek, the titular characters, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) are back in action to save the universe for another looming danger.

Although the trailer hardly reveals any details about the plot but it definitely hints about a romantic track between Peter Quill aka Star-Lord and Gimora. "There are two types of beings in the universe, those who dance and those who do not," Drax says. "I am a dancer and Gamora is not" replies the Star-Lord.

You just need to find a woman who is pathetic just like you, the Destroyer (Drax) adds before offering an awkward hug to the half human half alien superhero. Saldana's character, on the other hand, looks fierce as she wields a sword and takes a giant leap as if she is fighting an evil entity to protect someone or something (probably an Infinity Stone).

The clipping didn't reveal much about Rocket Racoon except in one scene, where he and Yondu, the space pirate, were seen walking across a platform with a bunch of people floating in zero gravity. The action sequence had led fans to speculate that the unlikely duo might go for a thrilling prison break sequence. Rocket's previous experience in breaking the Nova Corps prison hence it will be interesting to see how he fares this time.

The upcoming sequel will be based on Peter Quill's search for his father (Ego) as his team of Guardians will embark into another adventurous journey through space. The first look of Ego (Kurt Russell) is yet to be revealed by Marvel. However, Director James Gunn has already said that the trailer is not yet out and the clipping is just a "sneak peek".

"So the first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer will be coming in not too long, but we know how thirsty you guys are for a glimpse - so we put together this special sneak peak at #GotGVol2 for you," he wrote on Facebook.

The official synopsis hints at the Star-Lord's alliance with other fan favorite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
