It looks like r'n'b star Ciara has finally moved on from her former fiancé Future because the 29-year-old I Bet songstress has gone public with her rumoured boyfriend, NFL star Russell Wilson.

The duo looked very much an item when they arrived together at the White House state dinner held in honour of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Dressed in a coral silk gown, the mother-of-one happily posed for pictures with the Seattle Seahawks quarterback, who looked suited and boot in a black tuxedo, matching bow and slicked back hair.

Within minutes of the White House images emerging online, fans gave their seal of approval and confirmed they were #TeamCiara by leaving football emoji's – a not subtle reference to Wilson's job – on Future's Instagram pictures.

Neither Future nor Ciara have responded to the trolling.

Ciara's glamourous date night with the 26-year-old Super Bowl champion comes just days after they first sent tongues wagging at the Seattle Mariners v Texas Rangers baseball game at Safeco Field on 19 April.

"It's still at the beginning stages and it's very fresh," a source later told E! News. "She thinks he is a complete gentleman and has really enjoyed hanging out with him these past few weeks. It's constant laughter and fun with them.

"Things are a bit busy for both of them now, but they are willing to make time and see where this may go."

Ciara recently told Power 105.1's Breakfast Club that despite his best efforts, Future never really loved her.

"It clearly didn't work out," she said. "But I have the greatest gift, the greatest joy of my life is my son [Future Jr]. Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life and been the most game-changing thing that's happened to my life, in a necessary way."

Although she refused to discuss the circumstances leading to their split – he is rumoured to have cheated on her – she insisted she had no regrets.

Ciara said: "I've been experimenting with life clearly and I'm still trying to figure it all, out. At the end of the day, I roll with love. And I really believed that my son's father had the greatest intentions to love me. And a beautiful thing came from that so that's just how I see it."
