Tournament favourites and IPL heavyweights Chennai Super Kings take on Big Bash winners Brisbane Heat at Ranchi in the 2013 Champions League T20 on Saturday.

Play starts at 3:30pm BST, with British Eurosport providing live coverage in the UK.

Overview

The Super Kings have started their campaign on a bright note by winning the first two group matches. Batting performance remains Chennai's strength, as they chased down a target of 187 in the first game against Titans and posting a massive total of 202 in the second tie against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Suresh Raina was the man of the match in both matches with scores of 47 and 84, while captain M S Dhoni also joined the party in the second game with a quickfire 63 not out from just 19 balls. However, the bowlers have disappointed so far, with only the West Indian duo of Dwayne Bravo and Jason Holder managing respectable figures.

Brisbane, on the other hand, have no points on the board after two outings. Their bowlers gave them a chance at victory in both games but their batting let them down. The Aussie side failed to chase down a target of 136 against Trinidad & Tobago in their first group game, while they fell short of four runs in their pursuit of a modest total of 123 against the Titans in the second tie.

Alister McDermott and Matthew Gayle have both taken four wickets in the competition but the batsmen have failed to find any momentum so far. Heat will need to raise their game and get a result today, if they hope to progress further in this competition.
