Uber gets $2 billion financing from Chinese investors

Ride-sharing company Uber changed its logo on 2 February, prompting all manner of reaction –much of it critical. Some have gone so far as to suggest the logo resembles a clamped wheel while others described the move away from the "most recognisable U on the planet" as just plain stupid.

"Have you ever looked at someone's hairstyle and thought 'oh my, you peaked in the 1990s?' Well that's a bit how I feel about Uber's look today," Uber CEO Travis Kalanick said in a press release announcing the change.
