John Crowley took up the position as Editor-in-Chief of International Business Times UK in March 2016. He was previously digital editor at The Wall Street Journal for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has worked as a reporter and an editor for The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph and The Irish Post.
Julian Kossoff joined IBTimes as Managing Editor in October 2011 after gaining an excellent reputation and a wide breadth of experience from time spent at Telegraph.co.uk, the Associated Press and The Independent.
Julian is responsible for leading and inspiring the quality journalism that IBTimes aspires to create every day. Julian graduated from the University of Manchester in 1989 with a degree in Politics and Modern History.
Orlando Crowcroft has spent 10 years as a journalist and editor gaining experience from international assignments in Shanghai, Dubai and Jerusalem for the likes of the Guardian, VICE, CNN, Gulf News and Esquire.
Orlando studied Politics and Philosophy at Manchester University before completing his Press Association Diploma in Journalism from Newcastle University in 2007. Orlando joined IBTimes in March 2015 as Executive Editor for Geo-Politics and is responsible for coordinating our coverage of foreign policy, political relationships and its effects on the rest of the world.
Robert Galster joined IBTimes as our Breaking News Editor in March 2015. Robert is an experienced journalist who has held a variety of roles at several publishers including The Times, AOL/The Huffington Post, The Associated Press and MSN News.
Robert is responsible for making sure IBTimes is always at the forefront of real time news in a 24-hour news hungry world.
Robert studied Criminology at Simon Fraser University before completing a Diploma in journalism from Langara College in Vancouver, B.C.
Marc Vargas joined IBT as Social Media Editor. Prior to joining IBT Marc was Social Media Editor for Què Fem? Magazine from 2010 to 2014 and has been a freelance journalist since 2009 working for titles such as Lonely Planet and Esquire.
Marc received his degree in Journalism at the University Pampeu Fabra in Barcelona and has been working at IBT since November 2013 with the responsibility of building and developing our Social Media presence across all platforms.
Hannah Osborne joined IBTimes in October 2012 and is now our Science and Health Editor after time spent with Hello! Magazine, Adfero and as a freelancer for Metro. Hannah manages the Science and Health desk and is responsible for reporting on all the innovations and advances in both fields.
Hannah attained her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Film Studies from Kings College London in 2007 and went on to receive an MA in Journalism from Goldsmiths in 2012.
Nick Howson joined IBT in April of 2012. Prior to this Nick spent 4 years as a journalist for the Football League Paper, The Rugby Paper, Hampshire Cricket Club as well as Press Association and Sports New Media.
Nick received his degree from Southampton Solent University in Sports Journalism and is responsible for covering the news from all the different sports as well as bringing you live blogging events and real time updates from major sporting events.
Toyin Oweseje has previously worked for Closer Magazine, Mobile Magazine and as a freelance Entertainment Editor. Her work has appeared in the publications More! and Heat Magazine.
Toyin received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media from Kingston University in 2009 and joined IBTimes in November of 2011. As Entertainment Editor, Toyin aims to bring you all the latest news from across Music, Film and Television as well all the need to know celebrity gossip.
Alfred Joyner joined IBTimes in 2012 after working for October Films and as a freelancer working on various television projects including Night Haunts and World War Two from Space for the History Channel in 2012.
Alfred is responsible for all Video related projects both for the IBT Studio and outside broadcasts and received a BA in Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick in 2011.
David Sim began working at IBT in January 2014 as Picture Editor. Prior to this David was the Telegraph’s Online Picture Editor for several years. As well as being responsible for creating the online picture galleries David is an accomplished Photo Journalist.
Dev Pragad is a founding partner and Managing Director, EMEA for IBT Media. He successfully launched the UK office in 2009 where IBTimes UK and Newsweek EMEA editions are based. He is responsible for the overall strategic planning and development of the company and its commercial success in EMEA.
Prior to joining IBT Dev worked as an Academic Researcher at King’s College, University of London where he completed B.Eng in Computer Systems and Ph.D in Mobile Internet.
William Dove is a founding partner of IBTimes UK and Head of Editorial Operations. William began work at IBTimes UK straight after completing his degree in Government and History at the London School of Economics.
From managing the original site and writing many of the first articles, to building much of the current newsroom William has seen the tremendous growth of IBTimes UK since its creation. WIlliam now oversees the operational aspects of the newsroom as well as being the principle source of management information which is used to develop the editorial strategy of the newsroom.
Jeremy Makin brings over 15 years of digital commercial experience with him from a career spent working in telecoms and media for the likes of Vodafone, Telegraph Media Group, Express Newspapers,The Economist, and Alcatel-Lucent.
Jeremy received his degree in Geography from the University of Leeds and has gained an enviable skillset in Sales, Marketing, Product and Business Development across many international markets.
Jeremy joined IBT Media as a consultant in April 2015. He fills the role of Commercial director for IBT, Newsweek and Adprime Media with responsibility of building and implementing a commercial strategy for all products and markets.
Amit Shah joined IBT in 2012 as Financial Controller bringing with him 7 years of experience in financial accounting. Amit’s role is to manage the monetary resources of the company as well as providing detailed reports to the board.
Amit has both ACCA and MAAT qualifications and began his career working as a freelance consultant working for private companies.
Rob Turner joined IBT in March 2014 as HR Manager having previously worked for Aviva, KPMG and Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP. Rob is tasked with overseeing all personnel related activities including resourcing, reward, learning & development and employee engagement.
After completing his BSc in Psychology and Criminology at University of Lincoln in 2005, Rob went on to receive his MA in Human Resource Management from Durham University in 2006.
