Hollywood's biggest names gathered at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, on Sunday night (11 December) for the 22nd Critics Choice Awards that is here a month early to kick off this season's galas. The event, celebrating the best talents of both film and television, began with nominations special and the customary red carpet event.

The diva that she is, Kidman complemented her aura with a sharp black gown by Brandon Maxwell that further accentuated her svelte figure. The cut-out ensemble added oomph in the form of a thigh-high split, letting the Lion star flaunt some skin on the red carpet.

Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory actress outshined with her interesting two-piece combination that featured tailored pant and a floor-grazing flared top. While the powder-pink colour lent a feminine charm to Cuoco's look, she stood tall in her pair of strappy heels accessorised with a wooden clutch and Randall Scott Fine Jewelry.

Hailee Steinfeld

In a floral Jason Wu strapless gown, the singer and actress looked nothing less than a Disney princess. Her sheer dress was decorated with flower motifs, which Steinfeld wore with a bright red pout and some bling from Forevermark jewelry.

The Westworld diva was in an all-black Altuzarra pant-suit with a neckline that ran deep. Wood's platinum blonde hair made for a striking contrast to her tailored look, which she accessorised with just a delicate neckpiece.
