O'Sullivan has taken a 10-7 lead after the end of Day 1 of the Dafabet World Snooker Championship final. The two-time reigning champion is just eight frames away from winning the competition, which will see him bag his sixth World Snooker Championship title.

The 38-year-old British snooker star won five out of the first eight frames in the first session, before winning another five in the second session at the Crucible Theatre on Sunday. Selby managed to win three and four in the first and second sessions.

There will be two sessions of play on Monday and each session will have nine frames. The final will see 35 frames being played and O'Sullivan is just eight frames away from his third straight title, after winning the World Snooker Championship title in 2012 and 2013.

O'Sullivan would be aiming to win his sixth world title to sit level on the all-time list with Ray Reardon and Steve Davis. Only Stephen Hendry has bagged more world titles in the modern era, winning it on seven occasions.
