David Beckham to Arsenal? Don't be deceived by the footage here of David Beckham in gunners gear, as the 37-year-old free agent is currently training with the north London side to maintain his fitness as he seeks a new club. The former England captain has been linked with a move to Australia, Paris St Germain, West Ham and QPR in the past, but for now Beckham has kept his lips sealed as to where his future lies.

Meanwhile Mario Balotelli's future seems to be back in Italy. AC Milan have agreed to sign the Manchester City striker for £19m, with Balotelli flying out to the club today to finale the move.

But who will be Balotelli's replacement? The Mirror reports that boss Roberto Mancini plans to make a last-ditch bid for David Villa, after Arsenal have seen their efforts to sign the forward rejected by Barcelona. The Catalan club have always maintained that Villa would not be sold in January, but City will hope an offer of £15m for the 31-year-old can help persuade the Spanish side to sell.

Elsewhere Everton's £8.6m deal for FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer is in danger of collapse after a medical revealed a problem with the Dutch international's knee.

talkSPORT reports that Norwich have had their third bid of around £6m for 25-year-old striker Gary Hooper rejected by Celtic, whilst Sky Sports say West Ham are eyeing Shakhtar Donetsk left back Razvan Rat.

With only one day to go until the transfer window shuts, bottom-club QPR have been linked with numerous players, including three players from Harry Redknapp's time at Spurs, Peter Crouch, Niko Kranjcar, and Scott Parker.
