Star Wars: The Force Awakens

One of the most highly anticipated movies of the year, The Force Awakens is the long-awaited seventh instalment in the Star Wars science fiction franchise. Following on from the events of the original trilogy by George Lucas, the film sees new faces John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Daisy Ridley join stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hammill.

Victor Frankenstein

A new retelling of the classic gothic novel by Mary Shelley, the film sees James McAvoy play the eponymous Victor Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant Igor. Andrew Scott, Jessica Brown Findlay and Charles Dance make up the cast in the movie directed by Paul McGuigan.

By the Sea

A romantic drama starring Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, By the Sea has the two play an American husband and wife in France in the 1970s who find their marriage falling apart. The movie, also directed by Jolie, is the couple's first on-screen collaboration since 2005 action hit Mr and Mrs Smith.

In the Heart of the Sea

An epic historical adventure from director Ron Howard, In the Heart of the Sea is based on the real story of the whaling ship Essex, the inspiration for Herman Melville's Moby-Dick. Chris Hemsworth plays the first mate and is joined aboard the vessel by Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson and Ben Whishaw.
