Demi Moore is set to celebrate her 50th birthday in Dubai and sources close to the Hollywood star say she wants to keep the event low-profile, following a very public break-up with Ashton Kutcher last year. The same sources hastened to add Moore, who has a reputation for being obsessed with her looks, is calm about the landmark and "feeling good after a really, really tough year".

Moore was also recently seen in India, to celebrate another 50th birthday - that of billionaire Vladimir Doronin, the boyfriend of British supermodel Naomi Campbell. The exclusive party was also attended by fashion supermodel Kate Moss, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Moore's close friend, Los Angeles-based florist Eric Buterbaugh. The Academy Award-nominated actress (for Ghost in 1990) was photographed wearing a traditional outfit, created by Indian designer Manish Malhotra.

This has been a difficult year for the veteran actress, who has had to deal with the publicity that came with the bitter dissolution of her eight-year relationship with Two And A Half Men star Kutcher. Incidentally, so far as is known, neither Moore nor Kutcher has yet filed for a divorce. In any case, friends claim the actress has moved on from her emotional worries.

"She's not desperate to date again but she is actually open to it which is a really good step. She wants to experience something new. She wants to fall in love again," an insider was quoted, "She truly believed she'd spend the rest of her life with Ashton so it's not easy for her to simply move on but she's determined to do it."

Kutcher, meanwhile, seems to have already moved on, amid growing rumours of a relationship with actress Mila Kunis. The two know each other from their days on the cast of hit sitcom That 70s Show, and have been spotted together for several months now, leading to speculation that the sight of her ex with somebody else has spurred Moore to recovery.
