Bungie has confirmed plans to bring hit online shooter Destiny to E3 2015, and promises to have a few teases up its sleeve regarding the game's future.

The end of the studio's Weekly Update says: "We'll see you at E3. That's right. You might have seen mention of Bungie this or Destiny that on E3 schedules. We'll have some things to tease. Wouldn't miss it for the world."

The update also revealed that Destiny players have helped raise $1m (£652,000) for aid relief in Nepal, where a devastating earthquake killed more than 8,600 people and injured well over twice that many when it struck in late April.

Bungie recently released the House of Wolves expansion for Destiny, the second of a string of DLC. Another more substantial expansion rumoured to be called The Taken King is expected to be released towards the end of the year.

In early June Bungie registered three trademarks relating to something called the "Eververse" including trademarks for that very word, a logo and the "Eververse Trading Co". This has prompted speculation that an auction house or other trading system is heading to Destiny.

The announcement of expansion three and/or whatever Eververse is most likely what Bungie will reveal at the show.

Destiny featured heavily at the last two Sony E3 press conferences as part of a conscious effort by the developers to distance themselves from Microsoft – with whom they made the Xbox exclusive Halo games – despite Destiny being multiplatform.

Now that Destiny is out, Bungie showing up at Microsoft's press conference this year isn't totally out of the question. An appearance at Sony's show would be a safe bet however.

E3 2015 runs from Sunday 14 June to Friday 19 June.
