A Florida man was left humiliated and angry after he was mocked by staff at his local Starbucks who attached a sticker to his Grande White Mocha declaring "diabetes here I come". Normally the sticker should carry the name of the customer.

The customer told CBS affiliate WJAX that the infuriating incident at his local Starbucks brought back painful memories of his sisters who had struggled with the disease.

"That first word just automatically brought the picture of both sisters into my head, and I was taken aback," he said, under condition of anonymity. "Just the struggles they went through and all the doctor appointments they had," he added.

The St Augustine local ordered a grande cup of white mocha at Starbucks. A 16-ounce white chocolate mocha has 470 calories when it's made with 2% milk.

Starbucks responded that the corporation works "to provide an inclusive and positive experience for our customers, and we're disappointed to learn of this incident. We are working directly with the customer to apologise for his experience, and with our partners to ensure this does not happen again."
