Following weeks of speculation, Beyoncé may have finally admitted that her marriage to Jay-Z is in trouble.
The Drunk in Love hitmaker, who has been dealing with the fallout of her sister Solange's attack on the rapper as well as reports of his alleged infidelity, sent the rumour mill into overdrive by personalising the lyrics to her 2008 track, Resentment.
While performing during the couple's On The Run tour she, the songstress, swapped the lyrics "Been riding with you for six years", to "Been riding with you for 12 years" – the same amount of time she has been with the rapper.
The 32-year-old also set tongues wagging by wearing what looked like a lace wedding dress and veil while she belted out an emotional rendition of the song, which is about cheating.
Eagle-eyed fans, who picked up on modification, quickly took to Twitter to express their views.
"She said 12 years instead of 6. It's pretty clear what she meant," one said.
The performance comes as the couple struggle to put divorce rumours to bed.
In June, Jay-Z was linked to R'n'B star Mya. Reports claimed that the 99 Problems hitmaker may have had a long-term affair with the singer, which started at the height of her fame in the early noughties.
It was also alleged that Jay-Z has been helping out the Case of the Ex songstress financially for years.
"She is that very short named R&B singer who hasn't had a hit in a while and doesn't really even act or record any longer," a blind item posted on the Crazy Days and Nights website read.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z has been linked to a number of women, including rapper LIV, singers Rita Ora and Rihanna and reality star Casey Cohen, in recent weeks.
However, Cohen recently slammed the reports as "foul and phony mistress-rumours" telling entertainment website TMZ that she and Jay-Z "have never been in love or intimate" with each other.
