Television presenters eat each other's flesh
Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno sit down before a studio audience to their sickly dinner.

Two Dutch television presenters have eaten each other's flesh in a bizarre on-air experiment.

Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno both underwent surgery to have muscle tissue removed which was then cooked and eaten.

They were hosting television show Proefkonijnen which means guinea pigs, or test rabbits.

A chef fried their muscle tissue live on the show in front of a studio audience. Storm had the muscle removed from his backside and Zeno's from his abdomen.

The pair were then shown to their candle-lit table where they dined on each other. The audience was told that it had been cooked medium-rare in sunflower oil with no seasoning.

"Nothing is really that special when you're talking about the taste of the meat but it is weird to look into the eyes of a friend when you are chewing on his belly," Storm told ABC News.

"It was just a few centimetres of meat – and now I have a good story about that scar."

The episode is due to be broadcast on Wednesday. The duo has refused to comment on the taste.
