European markets snapped a two-day losing losing streak after encouraging manufacturing data and solid corporate earnings supported stocks in Britain and elsewhere ahead of key employment figures from the United States.

BT group shares tested a five year high after tighter cost controls and more broadband customer additions helped the UK’s biggest fixed-line telecom beat analysts third quarter profit forecasts.
