Manchester United's move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has resurfaced and the striker is set to talk to his club about a potential move to Old Trafford.

According to the Express, Cavani is keen to move as he is not happy playing second fiddle to the club's star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Cavani is currently with PSG on their tour of Asia, but is keen to move away from the club and it is believed that he will hold talks with his current employers regarding a transfer.

The Red Devils have been linked to him all through the summer and Louis van Gaal will be keen to bring in another proven goal scorer to help current forwards Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

Apart from that, United have also been battling with the Ligue 1 champions for the signature of Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, but reports suggest the French club have beaten the Premier League giants to the Argentine's signature.

However, PSG are under heavy Financial Fair Play sanctions from UEFA and hence, the club will not be able to match Real's valuation unless they offload a few of their stars. This will give the Old Trafford club hope with regards to landing the Uruguayan striker.

Earlier in the summer, the former Napoli striker admitted that he is happy in France, but remained uncertain about his future plans about staying with the Ligue 1 club.

Meanwhile, PSG further added to the transfer speculation regarding Cavani, after the Daily Mail revealed that the Uruguayan has been left out of promotional activities for the launch of the club's new away kit. The striker was a prominent part of the home kit launch earlier in the summer.
