Zoe Thomson, a young British girl from Thatcham, Berks, has impressed music fanatics all over the world with her superb guitar-playing skills on YouTube.

Eight-year-old Zoe shared the internet limelight with Mini Band, her musical group, when their cover version of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" got more than 3 million views on YouTube.

In a more recent video, the young "axeman" can be seen shredding guitar with deadly accuracy to one of Stratovarius's (Finnish symphonic metal band) complex tracks called "Stratosphere." The video has become an instant hit with over one million views.

"What kind of sorcery is this?" comments a viewer on YouTube.

Another exclaims, "Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!"

Zoe's mother Collette, who is also a guitarist, says that her talented daughter started playing from a very young age.

"She made progress really quickly; she's natural and has got really good timing. Other people have said that she picks things up really quickly," thesun.co.uk quoted her as saying.

According to telegraph.co.uk, the young guitar prodigy has signed up at the guitar company Daisy Rock's artist roster.

"Zoe is really excited; she is overjoyed. For someone of her age to get an endorsement is a massive achievement. I think you have to have something special to be endorsed, and it's really nice that someone has recognised her talent," telegraph.co.uk quoted Collette as saying.
