David Cameron has stolen the march on Ed Miliband ahead of the leaders' debates after a poll gave the Conservatives a two point lead over LAbour.

A YouGov poll for the Sun put the Tories on 36% (+2) and Labour on 34% (-2) as the nation prepares for a historic seven-way debate on ITV.

ITV, which is hosting the debate at its Salford studios, is predicting 10 million viewers will tune in for the debate as leaders look to appeal directly to voters at home.
