Liverpool take on Everton in the Premier League at Goodison Park as the two sides face each other in the first Merseyside Derby of the season.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 12:45pm GMT. Live coverage is on BT Sports 1. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio5 Live. Catch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day on BBC One and BBC One HD at 10:30pm GMT.

Everton have failed to score in the last two league fixtures, the goalless draws against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.

Prior to these fixtures, Roberto Martinez's men scored two goals against Aston Villa away from home in late October as goals from Romelu Lukaku and Leon Osman gave Everton the three points. In their last five games played, Everton have lost only one game, to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool bounced back from their disappointing 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates by registering a 4-0 home win over Fulham. Fernando Amorebieta scored an own goal to open the scoring before Martin Skrtel and Luis Suarez's double gave the Reds a comfortable victory.

Brendan Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers' side are second in the table with 23 points from 11 games, trailing league leaders Arsenal by two points. Everton are sixth with 20 points and are unbeaten at home this season.

A win against Liverpool will put Everton level on points with the Reds, while a defeat would leave the visitors top of the table - at least until Arsenal's game later in the day.

What the Managers Say

Roberto Martinez: "I am delighted to be getting ready for a first Merseyside derby and really looking forward to it. When you add all the connotations of a derby with the importance of the points, I think this fixture is going to be as big and good as a football game can be."

Brendan Rodgers: "It is going to be a fiercely competitive game. It doesn't take the intensity out by having the football. The idea of having possession is to penetrate and have aggression in your game. A lot of our game is based on that aggressive nature. It won't take anything out of the game, it will only add to it."
