Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook was reportedly kicked off her flight to Malaga, Spain on 11 May over a fracas with an on-board stag party.

The 43-year-old actress and reality star was said to be in tears as she was escorted off an easyJet flight to Malaga after having a bust up with fellow passengers, according to The Sun.

Cabin crew came to the Celebrity Big Brother star's rescue when a rowdy group of men allegedly hurled insults at her as she boarded the plane. Witnesses claim that the flight from Gatwick on Thursday was delayed for 25 minutes while staff tried to resolve the issue.

The actress was then offered a later flight to Spain, despite one passenger on the flight revealing it was Westbrook who kicked off first after being told to put her handbag in her hand luggage.

The passenger told the publication: "When we were getting on to the plane, she dropped her water bottle and someone passed it to her and asked if she was okay.

"She replied: 'No I'm f***ing not. They've made me put my handbag away in my hand luggage.'

"She had a bit of an exchange with some other passengers as we were boarding and then we ended up waiting about half an hour without explanation. Danniella was then suddenly removed from the plane.

"She looked really upset but also very rough – not how you see on the TV or in the press. The captain came over the intercom and said abuse would not be tolerated," she added.

Westbrook – who has had a history of drug abuse and recently finished a stint in rehab – arrived in Malaga later on that day and tweeted: "Thanks for all your messages. Love ya all but happy to be in Spain today #thewestbrook see ya soon y'all" to her 230k followers.

An easyJet spokesman said: "EasyJet can confirm that there was an issue between some passengers onboard flight EZY8611 from Gatwick to Malaga on 11 May. As a result one passenger was moved to a later flight."

Since starring in Eastenders on and off since 1990, Westbrook has been a tabloid fixture due to her cocaine habit throughout the 1990s and 2000s. The addiction resulted in the complete erosion of her nasal septum, leading her to seek treatment and no longer use drugs. She has starred on a number of reality shows including I'm A Celeb in 2003 and Dancing on Ice in 2010.
