Defending champion Sebastian Vettel continued his dominance in the Indian Grand Prix after the Red Bull driver clinched his third straight pole at the Buddh International Circuit, near New Delhi, for Sunday's race.

The 26-year-old needs 10 points from Sunday's race to clinch his fourth successive title.

Qualifying Review

Vettel was fastest during the qualifying session and continued his practice form on Saturday to take pole. The German driver clocked a time of 1: 24.119 while Mercedes' Nico Rosberg was 0.752s behind the reigning champion and will start the race from second spot.

Rosberg was sixth during Friday's practice and his impressive form at Buddh International Circuit has seen take second place after the qualifying. Lewis Hamilton was third after trailing Rosberg by 0.07s while Red Bull driver Mark Webber was fourth.

Ferrari's disappointing run in the Indian Grand Prix continued as Felipe Massa was fifth after clocking the time of 1:25.201 while the former world champion Fernando Alonso will start from eighth. Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen and McLaren's Jenson Button managed to finish in top 10 and will start from sixth and 10<sup>th spot respectively.
