FULL TIME

Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

It's floated into the box this time but Skrtel gets his head to get. Zaha gets to the loose ball but there isn't enough time for another go as the full time whistle goes.

One last chance for Palace? Skrtel stupidly crashes into Campbell, prompting an excellent face palm from Brendan Rodgers. Gayle stands over the free kick...

Can hauls back Zaha and Palace have a free kick on the left hand corner of the box. Gayle takes it on but sends it harmlessly over the bar. Palace running out of time here.

Five minutes of time added on. Brendan Rodgers' changes have worked a treat this half, successfully taking the sting out of Palace following that brief flurry after Lallana's goal.

Palace's efforts to retain possession have been terrible these past five minutes but they eventually string something together with Campbell moving into space down the right. He swings an excellent cross into the box but Liverpool again clear.

Lambert digs a neat ball out for Can to chase down the right flank with Balotelli in the middle, but he can't find him with his cross.

Liverpool keep possession for almost two full minutes, prompting 'ole''s from the travelling supporters as the move the ball up and down the pitch. Palace eventually manage to nick the ball off them.

Sturridge's evening is over; Rickie Lambert is onto replace him.

Zaha squirms past Sakho and wins a corner for his side but it's another one wasted, lifted straight into the grateful arms of Mignolet.

Crystal Palace are the side in control at the minute, but Liverpool aren't having to go great strengths to keep them out at the minute. You'd imagine if Rodgers' side can maintain their discipline, then they can hold on.

Another succession of corners pepper the Liverpool box and the away side are struggling to get out of their box. Bolasie, whose had a fairly quiet game, is off and is replaced by Wilfried Zaha.

Palace are dominating possession at the moment. Souare wins a free kick out on the left following a challenge from Lallana, allowing the home side to pile into the box. Skrtel and Balotelli combine to get rid.

After a brief delay as Sakho is floored following a collision with Bolasie, Palace turn on the pressure. Mignolet fails to fully clear a across that falls to Ward inside the right of the box. His shot/cross is sliced clear by Allen and Palace win a corner but fail to work anything of note from it.

Now Balotelli is smiling. Scenes.

Liverpool lead! Balotelli drills a low one straight through the Palace wall that Speroni reacts well to save, but Lallana is quickest onto the rebound and slots home into the right corner.

Goal! Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool (Adam Lallana)

Balotelli cleverly flicks the ball onto Henderson, gets the ball back and goes down over the outstretched leg of Dann. Liverpool free kick 25 yards out from goal.

Gayle drives a volley into the ground but it causes a moment for panic for Mignolet, who is late to react to it and is forced to palm it wide.

Liverpool suddenly click into gear as Henderson threads an accurate diagonal pass from the right of the box through to Sturridge, who hammers a half volley under Speroni and into the back of the net.

Goal! Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpool (Daniel Sturridge)

And we are back underway for the second half. Brendan Rodgers has opted to shake things up by bringing Mario Balotelli on for Lazar Markovic, but it is Palace who create the first chance of the half only for it to be wasted by Jason Puncheon, who fires wildly over the bar moments after replacing Chamakh.

HALF TIME

Crystal Palace 1-0 Liverpool

Sturridge accidentally clips Gayle and Palace win a free kick on the edge of their own box. Sturridge tries to haul the Palace player to his feet a bit too quickly, buy Gayle seems content staying down for an extra few seconds as the half-time whistle looms.

Gayle almost makes it two! Bolasie tries to thread a ball through but it cannons off the shin of Skrtel and into the path of Gayle. The angle is tough, but he gets his low shot off anyway from inside the left of the box, only to be denied by a great save from Mignolet who made himself large as he leapt out of his goal.

Markovic plays a neat one two with Lallana out on the right and proceeds to tear across the face of goal, sprinting past challenges from Palace defenders. The shot opens up for him from a difficult angle but he can't get the accuracy on the shot,, having ignored Sturridge's run through the middle.

Chamakh is shown a yellow card for a challenge on Allen. He's had a few of those and been warned by the referee, so you could see that coming.

Emre Can goes on one of those charging runs across the length of the pitch that we saw so often against Tottenham, and lays the ball off to Markovic on the edge of the area, but his shot is charged down.

Liverpool want a penalty after Sturridge is tripped in the box, but the referee isn't interested and waves play on! It was Soare who appeared to hook his leg around Sturridge who was ready to pounce on a miss-hit clearance and it did lok fairly ominous for Palace at a glance. Liverpool keep on the pressure however and Allen tries his luck with a decent volley from the edge of the box that veers just wide.

Henderson is shown the first yellow card of the game for a challenge on Gayle. Bit harsh, that, the Liverpool midfielder looked to have pulled out of the challenge completely to avoid conceding the free kick.

Mignolet brilliantly punches clear but Palace keep the pressure on and win another corner. The Belgian again does well to come and claim it and also wins a free kick for his side.

Palace need a breather, here, and get one as Bolasie tears down the right flank and wins a free kick. It's not put to particularly good use, but they get a corner.

Liverpool close again! Another sweeping, slick move from the away side frees Coutinho on the the edge of the box but his low drive is blocked brilliantly by Dann. The ball falls to Ward, who somehow manages to control the ball on his chest while on the ground. Liverpool scream for hand ball, but play is waved on. Coutinho gets another crack but this time Speroni saves comfortably.

What a save from Speroni! Liverpool almost unlock Palace with some great one touch passing between Lallana and Henderson but the former's strike is well blocked by the Palace goalkeeper.

Liverpool probing for a quick response but Palace are quickly back to keep them out with Dwight Gayle doing his bit to keep the away side at bay. Pape Souare is perhaps lucky to avoid a booking for a rough challenge on Henderson.

Palace are doing it again! A long ball is looped into Dwight Gayle over the top and the Palace forward easily outmuscles Skrtel to head it goalbound. Mignolet does well to save, but Campbell follows it up and drives into the back of the net.

Goal! Crystal Palace 1-0 Liverpool (Fraizer Campbell)

Moments before that Liverpool had their own shout for a penalty as Markovic's pass flicked up onto the arm of debutant Pape Souare, but the referee wasn't interested.

Dwight Gayle scampers into acres of space down the left channel and advances inside, looking for Campbell. His cross pings off Skrtel and, despite weak calls for handball, rolls out for a Palace corner.

An early chance for Daniel Sturridge as the ball is whipped in from the right. The striker opens up his body to guide it into the back of the net but the ball instead cannons off his shin and well over the bar.

And we are off and underway at Selhurst Park.

Stoke City are out of the FA Cup after suffering a 4-1 hammering at the hands of Blackburn Rovers. Reading also progress, edging past Derby County and earlier today West Brom sealed their place in the fifth round in style, thrashing West Ham 4-0 at the Hawthorns.

Liverpool have two enforced changes with Joe Allen coming in for the injured Steven Gerrard while Jordon Ibe, cup-tied from his showings for Derby County, is replaced by Lallana. Might Rodgers have been tempted to deploy Emre Can there after his powerful performance further up the pitch against Tottenham mid-week? It seems not.

Quite the attacking line up from Alan Pardew this evening. Chamakh, Bolasie and Gayle all support Campbell who leads the line. Wilfried Zaha and Glenn Murray wait on the bench.

Elsewhere today, West Brom's rise under Tony Pulis continues after the Baggies thrashed West Ham United 4-0 at the Hawthorns. Blackburn are currently handing out a similar beating on Stoke City who trail 4-1 at Ewood Park with Joshua King hitting a hat-trick. Derby and Reading meanwhile are currently tied at 1-1.

Liverpool have visited Crystal Palace twice since the Eagles returned to the top flight in 2013. On both occasions, they've shipped three goals. In a way, the 3-1 thrashing they received earlier this season was far less harrowing than the 3-3 last April, where their title dream crumbled. It is not a place they like going to.

The FA Cup history between these two sides memorably favours Palace, with a 4-3 semi-final victory over the Reds in 1990 one of the most fondly remembered results around south east London. A place in the quarter-finals of the competition is on the line this time around.
