Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop DLC
Home sweet home indeed. Bethesda

The Wasteland Workshop expansion for Fallout 4 will launch next Tuesday (12 April), adding advanced crafting mechanics for the many custom settlements players of the Bethesda RPG can find and build across the Commonwealth.

The second add-on for the massive action RPG is included in the Fallout 4 season pass, or alternatively can be purchased for £3.99 as a standalone download, with the cut-price snippet of content following the release of the robot-centric Automatron last month.

Wasteland Workshop's marquee feature lies in capturing the roaming raiders and mutated wildlife scattered across the post-apocalyptic plains and either taming them or throwing them into arenas in battles to the death. You can watch the trailer below:

Bethesda notes that the DLC "includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more," giving the relatively cheap expansion a similar feel to the Hearthfire homestead add-on for the Maryland company's last outing in its other mega-franchise, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The announcement trailer also confirms that Commonwealth big game hunters will be able to mount the heads of their prey upon the walls of their settlements. Lovely.

While the Automatron and Wasteland Workship DLC packages both seem like pleasant diversions to undertake in the hugely popular action RPG, the most anticipated add-on - Far Harbour – currently only has a broad May 2016 release date.

Bethesda has promised that this pricier expansion of the trio unveiled in February, will cover "the largest landmass Bethesda Game Studios has ever created for post-release content", surpassing even the huge Shivering Isles add-on for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
