It seems like Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have no bad blood between them after abruptly ending their 10-month romance a few weeks ago. The reason being that the songstress just liked one of the Starboy singer's recent photo uploads on Instagram.
The photo shows The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, partying with French Montana during the latter's 33rd birthday bash. The two friends can be seen throwing signs and sipping on drinks while posing for the camera.
The Weeknd, 33, has captioned the photo, "Happy birthday my brother. Tonight gets hazyyyy."
Fans are flipping out after Gomez, 25, liked the photo amid rumours of romance between her and former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, 23, kicked off after she called it quits with The Weeknd.
"Why the heck Selena liked this?" a fan asked, while another admirer added, "Why Selena whyyy."
Someone else said, "Selena lost something amazing in her life, no ones better then @theweeknd," another user chimed in, "Selena get your s**t together you can't have both."
The development comes just a day after Sean Kingston claimed that Bieber is dating Gomez. Kingston also said that he has told Bieber that he should marry the songstress.
"I think he's in a space right now that he just wants real people — genuine people — around him. 'Cause I told him Selena was good for him and he should marry her," Kingston said during an interview with BBC Radio 1.
He added, "But, you know, when you're young, you go through stuff. You go through people pulling you this way. They tend to mess up the vibe. But I see he's back with her."
Meanwhile, Gomez, who has been spotted on numerous outings with Bieber after breaking up with The Weeknd, is said to be giving the Baby singer another chance because he was her "first love" and she wants him to "repair damaged family relationships".
"Selena is already planning the holidays in her home state of Texas with Justin and her family," a source told HollywoodLife.
The source continued, "She desperately wants him to repair damaged family relationships by showing everyone how much he has grown, changed, and matured. Selena is excited to prove to her close family how much Justin has changed and become a responsible, loving guy."
