Greece will take on Ivory Coast in Group C clash of the 2014 Fifa World Cup at Estadio Castelao, Fortaleza, on Tuesday.

Where to Watch Live

The kick-off is set for 9pm BST. Live coverage is on BBC One and BBC Red Button. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

Greece come into this crucial fixture after their last match ended in a goalless draw against Japan. The Samurai Blue dominated the game against the Greeks as the latter had only 32% possession throughout the match.

Japan had better shots on target compared with Greece, but the Asian side failed to seal a win. Fernando Santos saw his side lose the opening game 3-0 to Colombia, in a match which was dominated by the South American side.

Greece need to win by a minimum margin of four goals in order to progress to the next round of the World Cup. At the same time, they need to bank on Colombia to defeat Japan in the other fixture scheduled for the day to make it to the Round of 16.

Japan v Greece

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast come into this crucial fixture after losing their last match 2-1 to Colombia. Two goals in the space of six minutes in the second half, by James Rodriguez and Juan Quintero, saw Colombia seal a comfortable win. Gervinho managed to score one for the Elephants, but it was not sufficient for Sabri Lamouchi's side to seal three points.

A victory over Greece would see the African nation seal a place in the last 16 of the tournament, irrespective of results elsewhere.

What Managers Say

Fernando Santos (Greece): "We have to show the qualities that got us here. The Ivory Coast is a strong team with good players. But we are strong too and we got here on merit. Talk of anything else is just a distraction."

Sabri Lamouchi (Ivory Coast): "We mustn't get carried away. We are fully focused on the match; we know that victory would allow us to write our names in Ivorian football history. That would be a great achievement and the players are well aware of that, so it would be pointless to try to heap extra pressure on them."
