The kick-off is set for 5pm BST. Live coverage is on ITV 4.

Overview

Italy take on Uruguay in a crunch Group D match, which can be classified as a knockout. Uruguay has to win to go through, whereas Italy can make it to the last 16 with a draw. Costa Rica, the least fancied team in this group has already booked a place in the last 16 after registering wins against both these teams.

Italy come into the game after a disappointing loss against Costa Rica, a game in which they were wasteful and showed lack of aggressiveness to take the game to the opposition. Daniele de Rossi is out through injury and will be a big miss in the middle of the park.

Cesare Prandelli, will hope that his team can recover fully and play the game in a high tempo. There could be a few changes to the team, to add a bit more cutting edge in the attacking third. Borussia Dortmund front man Ciro Immobile could get a run out in place of the misfiring Balotelli.

Meanwhile, Uruguay come into this game in high spirits, not only because of their win over England, but also due to the goal scoring return of their star forward Luis Suarez. Uruguay's hopes will rest on the Liverpool forward who returned to the side just four weeks after having surgery to his knee.

Oscar Tabarez knows they have to get three points to qualify, whereas his opponents can do with a draw. The coach will have the services of Maxi Pereira who has served his one match ban after being sent off against Costa Rica.

What Managers Say

Cesare Prandelli (Italy): "We knew this would be a particularly tough group. We will try to recover all our energy for the Uruguay game. We didn't get our tactics wrong. They were very, very aggressive and we were trying to find different ways into the game but we didn't manage it. It has been a bad loss. We have another game to play and clearly the approach must be different than this."

Oscar Tabarez (Uruguay): "We have been able to prove that we can fight and we are alive. After this victory, of course our intention will be to win against Italy. Today, we have been able to apply what we have learned and trained to do. We started well in the second half and we managed to score after England were playing well. For a moment, we were 1-1 and that was a difficult situation because England scored, but we were able to recover and win the game."
