Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan dropped a few spoilers about the upcoming movie while speaking to a magazine in London.

According to GQ Magazine, Dornan said that the film isn't as "hardcore" as fans may expect. "In some ways it'll break a few boundaries. But at the same time, they want to put bums on seats," reported Yahoo News.

"They can't alienate an audience. You know it has to be watchable. It can't be hardcore. I wouldn't have signed up to it if it was," he added.

Dornan continued to say that the film has to be made for a larger audience. "It's not going to be grotesque."

Dornan plays Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the steamy novel, while Dakota Johnson plays his love interest Anastasia Steele.

The 32-year-old actor was recently honoured at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. Fifty Shades author EL James presented Dornan with the Vertu Breakthrough Artist award at the event.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Dornan also just signed on for Miramax's psychological thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax. Directed by Alexandre Aja, shooting for the film is set to commence in October in Vancouver.

Fifty Shades of Grey is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside E L James, the creator of the series.

The movie is set for a 2015 Valentine's Day release.
