7:41: Australian Ricciardo finishes second while Magnussen becomes the first Danish driver to make it to the podium.

7:40: Nico Rosberg wins the AUstralian Grand Prix.

7:39: Rosberg is one lap away from winning the first race of the 2014 Australian Grand Prix.

7:38: TWO LAPS REMAINING

7:37: Rosberg has over 23s lead over second place Ricciardo.

7:36: Rosberg, Ricciardo and Magnussen maintain their posiiton as they make the first three so far.

7:34: It is likely Rosberg will win the 2014 Australian Grand Prix as we head into lap 54.

7:33: Bottas overtakes Hulkenberg with five laps remaining.

7:31: Alonso is pushing harder as we head into the last six laps of the Australian Grand Prix.

7:29: Lap 49 and gap between Ricciardo and Magnussen is down to 1.1s.

7:25: McLaren's Magnussen and Button are third and fourth respectively at lap 48.

7:24: With Grosjean being the latest driver to retire, that leavs with only 14 drivers on the track.

7:22: Grosjean has technical failure, forcing him to retire from the race.

7:19: Lap 44 and we have 13 laps left for the completion of the first race of the 2014 season. Rosberg is now the favourite to win this year's Australian Grand Prix.

7:19: Rosberg is having over a 16s lead over second place Ricciardo.

7:17: Magnussen on his debut is pushing hard for a secomd place. He is right behind Red Bull's Ricciardo.

7:16: Button moves to fourth, forcing Alonso drop to the fifth place as we head in to the 42nd lap.

7:12: Rosberg pit crew make a mistake during the pit stop. Can it have it's impact on the final outcome of the race?

7:11: Rosberg heads into the pits to make his second stop of the race, with 19 laps left.

7:08: Alonso and Raikkonen make it fourth and fifth place for Ferrari.

7:07: Alonso heads into the pits and the Spaniard leads Hulkenberg. Brilliant work from the Ferrari driver.

7:06: Kobayashi admits fault for colliding with Massa in the first turn of the race.

7:03: Button loses front part of the nose as he made a halt for a pit stop.

7:01: Hulkenberg is doing a great job in holding the fourth spot, ahead of fifth place Alonso.

7:00: Maldonado pulls for a halt. Will be be the sixth driver to retire?

6:58: Lap 31 and Rosberg still leads the first race of the season.

6:57: 27 Laps remaining in the Australian Grand Prix and we have already five drivers retirning from the race so far. Will we have the count increasing as we head further into the race?

6:56: Bianchi is out of the race.

6:55: Raikkonen and Vergne are fighting for sixth place.

6:54: We head into lap 28 Rosberg leads the race after taking only one pit stop.

6:46: Rosberg is leading the race as we head to lap 23.

6:42: Rosberg has over five second gap, ahead of Red Bull's Ricciardo.
6:41: Lap 20 and still we have Rosberg, Ricciardo and Magnussen leading the race.

6:40: Raikkonen loses two places while the safety car was on the track.

6:39: We are into the 19th lap and still no changes in top three as Rosberg still leads the Australian Grand Prix.

6:38: Force India's Hulkenberg is ahead of Alonso in fourth place.

6:37: Hamilton was forced to retire cause of misfiring cylinders.

6:36: Safety Car is off the track now and the drivers are already competing once again.

6:34: Rosberg still has the lead, with Vettel and Hamilton already out of the Australian Grand Prix.

6:32: Button has moved to the sixth place as we are in lap 14 of the Australian Grand Prix.

6:31: Alonso is fifth and we still have safety car on the track. Drivers are getting into the pits.

6:29: Poor start for Vettel in his efforts to defend the title as he is already out of the first race of the season.

6: 28: BBC says Hamilton's engine was not functioning properly from the start of the race.

6:27: Bottas makes contact with the walls and it is sufficent for his rear rim to leave the car. Thus we now have a safety car on the track.

6:26: Safety car is on the track now.

6:25: Rosberg, Ricciardo and Magnussen still remain as the top three as we head into lap 12.

6:24: Rosberg sets the fastes lap of the race and has the five second gap now.

6:23: Vettel follows Hamilton as the defending champions becomes the second driver to retire.

6:22: Hamilton, who was at pole for Sunday's race has reitred with gear box failure.

6:20: Raikkonen moves up to sixth place. This is getting better and better as we head to the later stages of the Australian Grand Prix.

6:19: Rosberg, Ricciardo and Magnussen make it the top three as we head into the eight lap.

6:16: Kobayashi and Massa are out of the race as the two collided in the first corner of the first lap.

6:15: Vettel is clearly struggling and enters the pit lane.

6:14: Magnussen in third place and he sets the fastest lap of the race

6:14: Hamilton goes into the pits as he is struggling with the gear box.

6:13: Vettel has dropped to 16th place now.

6:11: Alonso is struggling with Ferrari while Hamilton, who started from pole is ar fifth place in the second lap.

06:10: Gutierrez and Perez are back in the pits. Rosberb is leading as we head into the second lap.

6:08: Green Lights are on and there is already a lot of overtaking in the first lap of the Australian Grand Prix.

6:07: We will have five red lights on now.

6:05: Lotus driver Romain Grosjean will start from the pit lane, as has been given a drive-through penalty for leaving his garage before the 15-minute signal.

6:03: There we go. In just few seconds you will see five red lights. There is a yellow flag waved off again, meaning the drivers need to take one more parade lap.

6:02: The divers are taking position and the green lights will signal the start of the first race of the 2014 Formula 1 season.

6:01: 58 Laps is what one needs to finish faster in order to win the 2014 Australian Grand Prix.

6:00: Yellow Flag is been waved off for the parade lap.

5:59: Kimi Raikkonen is back with Ferrai and the Finish driver joins Fernando Alonso for the 2014 Formula 1 season.

5:45: We are 15 mins away from the start of the race.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will start the Australian Grand Prix race from pole on Sunday. The 2014 season of the Formula 1 is back and in the new few hours we will come to know the winner of the first race of this year.
