Meanwhile, Spurs enter this game after their 2-2 draw against Manchester United at White Hart Lane. The draw against the Premier League champions comes a week after the north London club's 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Two brilliant goals from Kyle Walker and Sandro either side of half time against United was not enough as Wayne Rooney's double saw Andre Villas-Boas' side settle for a draw. Spurs are ninth in the league table with 21 points from 13 games.

What the managers have said:

Rene Meulensteen: "I know what is required at the top end of the Premier League. This is a different challenge with different pressure. This is making sure you realise the need to keep three teams below you."

Andre Villas-Boas: "We've had a setback with Ade [Emmanuel Adebayor] who picked up a knee injury in yesterday's training session. He's the only player who will join the injury list."
