While the Galaxy fans are eagerly waiting for the next generation Galaxy Note, the rumour mills are abuzz with reports about the sequel to last year's Galaxy Mega.

Sammobile has now received an exclusive information about the next Mega large-screen smartphone, known as Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 codenamed 'Vasta'.

Bearing model number SM-G750F, the European variant of Galaxy Mega 2 will be equipped with a 5.99in HD Super AMOLED display. The yet-to-be-announced Exynos 4415 chip will be the power house for the handset, featuring a quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, clocked at1.4GHz, paired with Mali-400MP4 graphics unit with a clock speed of 533MHz. It will pack 2GB RAM.

Besides, the build.prop file of the recently leaked stock firmware with build number G750FXXU1ANGD confirms the use of Exynos 4415 chipset.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 2

The report further suggests the Mega 2 will have a 12 megapixel primary camera with full HD video recording at 30Fps. It will offer 8GB internal storage and support microSD card.

The Mega 2 will offer Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 LE/ANT+, GPS, GLONASS and an IR blaster for controlling the TV using Smart Control app.

As for the software part, the Mega 2 will feature Android 4.4.4 and Samsung's latest Magazine UX, like the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Alpha.

Along with that, Samsung is said to have added a wide range of software features to help users with one-handed usability. One of such features is 'Easy Side Panel', which enables on-screen navigation buttons on the right/left side of the display.
