Galaxy Note 3 (AT&T) and Note 3 Neo officially confirmed to receive Lollipop update geek.com

Owners of Galaxy Note 3 (AT&T) and Note 3 Neo are in for some great news, as both the flagship phablets are officially confirmed to receive the Lollipop update in the next few days.

Samsung France has recently confirmed via Twitter that the Note 3 Neo will be receiving the Lollipop update sometime later in 2015. However, there is no mention of its exact release date or any possible delays in the run up to the final release.

The Note 3 Neo will be a scaled down version of the Galaxy Note 3 with 5.5in 720p display, an Exynos 5260 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD expansion slot, 8MP rear and 2MP front cameras and powered by a 3,100 mAh battery.

In related news, AT&T has started rolling out the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 3 close on the heels of Galaxy Note 4. The update measures a hefty 1.2GB in size and carries the build number N900AUCUEOC1.

As the update is being rolled out in stages, it may not yet be available in your country or region at the moment. However, it should hit the device in the next few days, according to official sources.

Those who have not yet received the OTA update notification or cannot wait for its official release in their country or region can try checking for the update manually via Settings > General > About device > Software updates > Check for updates.
