Alongside the high-end Galaxy Note 6, a cheaper variant of the phablet is also expected, according to the latest rumours. Dubbed Note 6 Lite, this model might pack different hardware features than those of the standard model of the Note 6, and at an affordable price tag.

The Note 6 Lite, according to a posting on Weibo spotted by Sammobile, would be equipped with Snapdragon 820 chip and 4GB RAM. It would sport full HD screen. Both the low-end and flagship models could have similar a screen size, at 5.8in.

The regular Note 6, by comparison, is expected to use the Snapdragon 823 chip, coupled with 6GB RAM, and display with Quad HD resolution. Meanwhile, Sammobile has managed to obtain some exclusive information about the Note 6.

Samsung's next-gen Note is likely to feature a USB Type-C port, although it is unclear if it would be USB 3.1 or an older version. However, it would make sense if the device supports USB 3.1, which supports USB power delivery 2.0 for faster charging and the ability to have HDMI or display port for video signals. Speculation also hints that the second generation Gear VR is in the production line.

Earlier rumour suggested Samsung might introduce two variants of the Note 6: one with flat screen and the other with curved screen, with both having a similar screen size. A battery of 4000mAh is expected to power the curved screen model.
