IBTimes UK reminds its readers that it will not be held responsible for any damage to the device. Users are also advised to verify that their handsets meet following requirements.

1) Install USB driver for Samsung Galaxy Note to transfer files between the phone and the computer

2) Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone to connect the Android device with the computer and use the Android SDK with it [Press Menu > Settings > Applications. From there navigate and click on Development and ensure USB Debugging Mode is turned on]

3) As this tutorial might wipe all data of the phone, create a back-up. If the phone has custom recoveries like CWM/TWRP already installed then backup data using the recovery

4) The Galaxy Note should have above 80% battery charge

5) The phone should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier

6) Manufacturer's warranty will be void once the Galaxy Note is rooted. However, users can reclaim the warranty by unrooting device. Click here for a step-by-step guide to unroot Galaxy Note to stock official firmware.

7) The root package is compatible only with Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 running on Android 4.1.2 XXLT6 Jelly Bean. Applying this on any incorrect variant might brick the device. Therefore, verify the model number of the Galaxy device by navigating to Settings > About Phone > Model Number.
