New details about a smaller version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 have appeared in benchmarks.

A Samsung device bearing model number SM-G800H, which is said to be the Galaxy S5 Mini, has been spotted on the GFXBench site. There have been several recent rumours suggesting the screen size of the mini handset, with some claiming it to be 4.5in and others a 4.47in screen.

According to the listing on the GFXBench Benchmark site, the Galaxy S5 Mini will have a 4.8in screen with resolution measuring 1280 x 720 pixels, a touchscreen with at least five finger gesture support.

It will use a Snapdragon 400 Cortex-A7 processing unit featuring a quad-core processor with each core running at clock speeds up to 1.4GHz, while paired with an Adreno 305 graphics unit. The handset will have 1.3GB RAM.

The listing also suggests that the Mini model will offer 16GB internal storage. It will have an eight megapixel (3264 x 2448 pixels) rear camera with autofocus, face detection, flash, HDR photo and touch focus features. There will be a two megapixel front-camera (1920 x 1080 pixels). Both the front and the rear cameras will be capable of recording full HD videos, at 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Given the leaked specifications, the Galaxy S5 Mini seems to be a mid-range smartphone, notes PhoneArena.

The Android version of the S5 Mini mentioned in the chart is Android 4.4.2 KitKat and it willl be NFC-enabled.
