The technical specifications along with photos of the Mini version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 have leaked ahead of its launch which is expected in June.

Sammobile has received exclusive information about the hardware specifications as well as photos of the Galaxy S5 Mini bearing model number SM-G800F.

According to the leaked photos, the Galaxy S5 Mini sports a design similar to the Galaxy S5 having same rounded corners and perforated patter on the battery cover.

The mini model is also expected to have fingerprint scanning feature and a heart-rate sensor, which were introduced in the Galaxy S5.

One of the photos (the second one) shows there is a rubber gasket inside the back cover, which hints the Mini variant will be water-resistant. But unlike the Galaxy S5, the S5 Mini does not have a flap covering for the USB port, which means there is no certainty that the device is IP67 certified as Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 Active.

The Galaxy S5 Mini will have s 4.5in Super AMOLED display with resolution at 720 x 1280 pixels. It will be powered by the Exynos 3 (Exynos 3470) chip, which is yet to be announced. The Exynos 3 is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with Mali-400 MP4 graphics unit with clock speeds up to 450Mhz.

The smartphone will have 1.5GB RAM. It will pack an eight megapixel rear-camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capability and a 2.1 megapixel front-camera. The device will have 16GB internal storage with microSD card for additional space.

The Galaxy S5 will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI on it. Besides, it will have Galaxy S5's software features such as Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Kids Mode.
